Improved App Studio AuthService 15 Sep 2016 03:09 CDT

Announcing the new App Studio AuthService for improved single sign-on between App Studio apps and the Eikon Platform

We are happy to announce our new single-sign on service, App Studio AuthService2.

AuthService2 has many benefits over the previous AuthService:

    • More closely follows SAML2 standards
      • SAML2 compliant response signature and format
      • Improved redirect workflow
      • SAML2 metadata
      • Changed content of "Issuer field"
      • Enhanced user information
        • Get user status: "Trial" vs full "Subscription"

These improvements and enhancements will simplify the single-sign on integration, work better "out of the box" with third party tools, and increase the value single-sign on with the Eikon platform.

We will continue support for the legacy AuthService for the foreseeable future, but do encourage all developers to upgrade when possible.
